Description

Using quality vegetable-tanned leather and a selection of essential tools, you’ll be guided through the process of cutting, shaping, punching, stitching, and finishing your own leather item. Depending on the session focus, you might create a keyring, wallet, cardholder, bookmark, or a simple pouch—designed to be both practical and one-of-a-kind. We’ll cover the basics of leather selection and care, tool use, design layout, and stitching methods like saddle stitch. You’ll have space to add your own touches, whether through hand-stamped lettering, edge detail, contrast stitching, or decorative hardware. The pace is relaxed, the instructions are clear, and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive—perfect for beginners and returning makers alike.

This workshop is ideal for anyone who enjoys making with purpose, learning traditional skills, or simply wants to try something tactile and grounding. Leather is a wonderful material to work with—strong, forgiving, and satisfying to shape. There’s something timeless and rewarding about turning a flat piece of hide into a functional object you’ll actually use or gift. All materials and tools are provided, and no prior experience is needed. You’ll leave with a finished piece, new skills, and a deeper appreciation for slow craft and handmade quality. Whether you’re curious about leatherwork or looking to reconnect with creative process, this is a space to make, learn, and enjoy the feel of something real taking shape beneath your hands.
