Hama Bead

Using colourful fusible beads and pegboards, you’ll create pixel-style designs that are ironed to set into lasting shapes. From geometric patterns and animals to rainbows, letters, and custom designs, there’s no limit to what you can create. Whether you’re following a pattern or inventing your own, this is an activity that encourages creativity, patience, and attention to detail in the most playful way. You’ll learn the basics of working with Hama beads, including design tips, layout tricks, colour blending ideas, and how to iron and finish your creations safely. We’ll have plenty of templates and examples to get you started, or you can simply let your imagination guide you.

All materials are provided, including a rainbow of beads, pegboards in various shapes and sizes, and tools to make handling easier for small or less dexterous hands. Finished pieces can be turned into key rings, coasters, magnets, earrings, or simply kept as keepsakes. This workshop is suitable for children (ages 6 and up), teens, and adults, and is a lovely way to share creative time with family or friends. It’s also a fantastic entry point for those new to craft or looking for a mindful activity with instant results.
