At Flourish in Tasmania, creativity is a way of connecting, grounding and growing. We run workshops, products and experiences that encourage people of all ages to explore their imaginations, learn new skills and enjoy the mindful rhythm of making.
What makes Flourish different?
Flourish is founded and facilitated by Georgia Wearne, a fully qualified and registered teacher with more than 20 years classroom experience, together with current Working with Vulnerable People registration and relevant insurances.
Every workshop is thoughtfully structured and guided at an appropriate level, with projects designed to be achievable within the time available. Whether you’re seven or seventy, you’ll receive the support and encouragement you need to enjoy the experience at your own pace.
But Flourish is about more than simply making something to take home. You’ll be genuinely taught the techniques behind each project, building creative skills, confidence and knowledge that stay with you long after the workshop ends.
Come as you are
No experience is needed — just curiosity and a little time for yourself. At Flourish, we slow down, work with our hands and find joy in the details. You’ll leave with something beautiful you’ve made yourself, along with new skills, creative confidence and a little inspiration to carry with you.

What is our purpose/mission
We create a welcoming space for people to slow down, connect, and express themselves through hands-on creativity. Our purpose is to nurture curiosity, confidence, and community through art, craft, and making. Everyone is welcome, and every experience is designed to be joyful, grounding, and filled with meaning.
What is art and craft important
Art and craft help us express what words cannot. They build confidence, calm the mind, and connect us to others and ourselves. Through making, we learn to slow down, pay attention, and find meaning in the process. It’s creative, personal, and deeply human, and that matters.
What are our values
We value creativity, curiosity, and connection. We believe in creating welcoming spaces where everyone feels safe to explore, express, and grow. Our work is grounded in care, community, and a deep respect for the process of making. We honour individuality, encourage play, and always prioritise kindness and inclusion.

That’s fine. Flourish isn’t about being good at art. Every child is guided through the process while still making their own choices.
Do I need to provide dietary or medical information when booking?
If your workshop includes food, or if there is anything we should be aware of to help you or your child participate safely and comfortably, please let us know when booking. This may include allergies, dietary requirements, medical conditions, accessibility needs or other relevant considerations. All information is treated respectfully and used only to help us provide a safe, enjoyable and inclusive workshop experience.
What should I bring?
Just yourself. If your workshop involves paint or adhesives, wear something you don’t mind getting creative in (workshop aprons will be provided).

Can it be customised?
Where possible, yes. We can tailor the project, colours, materials and finishing touches to your occasion. If you have an idea, we’d love to hear it.
