Macrame

In this workshop, you’ll learn a range of foundational macramé knots and how to use them to build structure, pattern, and texture. We’ll guide you through the steps to create your own wall hanging, plant hanger, keychain, or another small piece that suits your style and confidence level. Macramé is a mindful, meditative craft that invites you to slow down and follow the flow of the process. As your knots build up, you’ll find a rhythm that is both soothing and creatively satisfying. You’ll also learn how to work with natural fibres, choose colours, measure lengths, and finish your piece with care.

All materials are provided, including a selection of quality cotton cords, wooden rings, beads, and dowels. You’ll also have access to examples for inspiration and hands-on support throughout the session. No prior experience is needed. Whether you’re brand new to craft or simply curious to try something different, this is a relaxed and supportive space to learn at your own pace. Come along on your own or with a friend and enjoy the feeling of making something real and lasting with your hands. You’ll leave with your finished macramé piece, new skills, and the confidence to keep knotting on your own at home.
