Scallop Shell Trinket Trays – Wednesday 22 July

Whether you’re an experienced maker or completely new to crafting, this workshop will guide you step-by-step through the art of decoupage, leaving you feeling confident and inspired to create your own beautifully decorated trinket tray.

We will focus on decorating a trinket tray using simple decoupage techniques, allowing participants to learn the core skills needed to continue this craft at home and adapt it to a variety of surfaces and creative projects.

Over the course of the workshop, we’ll cover the following:

• The basics of decoupage and how the technique works
• Choosing suitable papers, materials, and adhesives
• Applying and sealing designs for a smooth, durable finish
• Tips for layering, composition, and creative personalisation

By the end of the workshop, you will take home your own unique handcrafted trinket tray, perfect for jewellery, keepsakes, or gifting, and feel confident to continue exploring the technique independently. No prior experience is required.

About your facilitator: I am a fully qualified educator with over 20 years of experience, and I’m passionate about creativity, connection, and lifelong learning. I love creating relaxed and welcoming workshops where everyone feels comfortable to have a go, ask questions, and enjoy the process of making something by hand, no matter their experience level.
